Replacement wick for lighters
The Zippo replacement wick for Zippo lighters is the ideal solution when your lighter no longer ignites properly. The wick should be replaced when you have to repeat the ignition process several times. With this high-quality replacement wick, you can get your Zippo lighter back in working order quickly and easily.
Procedure:
1. Remove all components from the fuel tank (flint screw, felt pad, cotton, old wick).
2. Pull the new wick either from top to bottom through the chimney or from below through the fuel tank.
3. Bend the wick tip over the chimney to hold the wick in place during reassembly.
4. Insert the cotton pieces again in exactly the same order in which they were removed. When inserting, loop the wick through the cotton pieces in an S-shape so that the wick has as much contact with the filling material as possible.
5. Put the felt cap back onto the flint tube and close it with the pressure spring. Make sure that the flint does not fall out during this process.
6. Cut the wick off at the edge of the chimney and insert the insert back into the case.
