The Zentauron Vulcan III plate carrier is the latest, completely redesigned generation of the Vulcan plate carrier. The shoulder straps and cummerbund are fully equipped with ZenTubes (ROC buckles). In an emergency, these also function as a quick-release system. The inserts for hard and soft ballistic plates, which fit standard-issue ballistic protection, are separated from each other. On the outside of the front plate pocket there is a cable routing and 4 x 3 MOLLE loops for ID/IR and other patches. Additional MOLLE loops allow the attachment of magazine and utility pouches. Vertical straps are attached on both the left and right sides for securing cables, etc. Soft ballistics are inserted into the inner compartment and closed with hook-and-loop. On the outside is the compartment for hard ballistics (SK4), which is additionally secured with a 50 mm strap. The rear plate pocket is constructed identically and has additional padding on the shoulder straps. The cummerbund is fitted on the outside with 7 x 3 MOLLE loops, allowing additional pouches to be attached without difficulty. The inside of the cummerbund can hold soft ballistic inserts or, for example, the Bundeswehr signal pistol. The shoulder straps feature a ZenTube quick-release at the front and are infinitely adjustable.
