The Petromax hanging fire bowl for tripod 56 cm combines cooking, frying and simmering over an open fire with the feel of Wild West cuisine. The rod eye secures the bowl to the hook of the Petromax tripod. There, the fire bowl heats up quickly and gently fries meat in its own juices and stock. Depending on your needs, the hanging fire bowl can be positioned closer to or further away from the fire, as the tripod chain is height-adjustable.
Due to the shape of the bowl, different cooking zones are created: the heat is greatest in the middle and is suitable for searing meat and vegetables. These can then be pushed to the edge to keep warm.
The hanging fire bowl should be seasoned before first use so that a patina and natural non-stick coating can develop. Before each use, the screw connection between the hanging fire bowl and the rod eyelet should be checked and tightened if necessary.
