Whistle valve Base Camp and Scout
Whistle for the Base Camp and Scout models. The metal whistle with green rubber coating fits old and new Kelly Kettle models and signals with a whistle tone when the water boils.
The whistle must not be confused with the orange plug on some older models; this must definitely be removed before use!
Use:
Do not fill the kettle completely. Place the green whistle loosely and carefully on the spout, paying attention to the direction of the arrow so that the hot steam escapes downward. Do not press the whistle into the opening so it can be easily removed again. When the water boils, remove the kettle from the fire and let it stand for about 1 minute. Hold the handle with one hand. With the other hand, remove the whistle by gently pulling. Then pour the water from the kettle as usual.
