A tactical belt holster with an automatic locking function for the weapon while it is being inserted into the holster, and a safety system that prevents unauthorized drawing of the weapon by a third party while still allowing the user to draw quickly and instinctively. For patrol duty in a vehicle, the holster can be swiveled 90° at the push of a button so it does not hinder the wearer while seated. If necessary, the holster can be quickly detached from the platform.
